Germany

I practically just got back from a trip to Germany. A brief summary follows...

Flew over the Atlantic into Frankfurt (am Main). Took a train up to the Dusseldorf area, and stayed there for about a week, during which I saw Wuppertal, the city where my grandfather grew up in, and a few of the sights in the area. Then we zipped over to Berlin, and saw pretty much the whole city in one day! While we were over there, we went over into Chojna, Poland, (formerly Königsberg, Germany) to see the city where my grandmother grew up in, and ran away from when the Russians came in and burned down practically the whole city. Then we ran down south to Switzerland, seeing the Schwartzwald (Black Forest), and much more along the way. Then we made a loop around in the Swiss Alps, seeing Altdorf (the hometown of William Tell), Meiringen (the place Sherlock Holmes died at), and a bunch of mountains. Then we went back to where we started, zipping through a piece of France and the Rhine river valley on the way. Then we hung around there for a little while and saw Köln (Cologne), walked through the HUGE cathedral (the third largest in the world, and the most perfect example of Gothic architecture), and (of course) walked through the Chocolate Museum. Then we flew back, then missed our connecting flight! Luckily, there was a plane leaving for home about 20 minutes later, but there were like 80 people on the "waiting list". In the end, we made it home a few minutes late (after that, and a sick passenger who the pilot decided to drop off because we hadn't taken off yet). Anyways, all that was in three weeks! This is my First Blog Post, so I ought to introduce myself. I'm not going to give out to many details about myself, but just enough to see where I'm coming from.

I am about 15, I love video games, but not nearly as much as I love my God. I am a Christian, I spend a lot of time at church, and I have a lot of friends there. I also love classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Steppinwolf, Some Rolling Stones), christian rock (Red, Flyleaf, MXPX, Family Force 5), and a VERY limited selection of heavy metal (Dragonforce, to name the selection), along with other various artists. I play electric guitar myself, and a little bit of piano. I suppose that's all I'm going to write here for now...
